As an early-stage company, new to medical device development, the client came to Full Spectrum because they were experiencing some serious quality issues related to Bluetooth wireless communications. In addition, they sought a partner capable of implementing advanced features that were not part of the original product. The budget was tight, and timeline was urgent.

• The main challenge was to resolve serious issues with the Bluetooth LE wireless communications between the device and an Android tablet.
• The client did not have the internal expertise to resolve the issues or to implement additional advanced features.
• FS was able to verify the defects found in the original product and develop an estimate of the work needed to address the issues.
• Full Spectrum rearchitected the Bluetooth communications software to make it reliably pair and communicate between the devices while working with the clients QA team to verify the software changes.
• The product reliability was greatly enhanced after all defects were addressed.
• As a follow-up project, FS was also asked to add some advanced features to the product and redesign some of the user interface.
• All work was completed on-time and on- budget and the client was very satisfied with FS performance.
